What’s my insurance converage when I rent from you?

All vehicles are insured with ICBC and in the Province of British Columbia. Coverage includes:

• $2 million Third Party Liability

• Collision and comprehensive

• All physical damages

• Fire, theft and vandalism

• $1,000 deductible

 

Renters will be responsible for a $1,000 CAD deductible in the case of an insurance claim

 

Renters are liable for any damages to the windshields, tires and awning during the rental period. It is the renters responsibility to check the condition of the tires during the RV inspection at pick-up.

 

Tire issues, including the cost of replacement tires, and any labour fees for replacing tires is the sole responsibility of the renter.

 

Cancellation

 

Do I get a refund if I cancel?

If you cancel your rental 30 days or more from the date of rental, you will receive a FULL REFUND of the deposit that was paid at the time of booking direct with us. 

 

If you cancel the rental seven days or less from the rental start date, the full rental amount will be forfeited.

 

Breakdowns

What do I do if my vehicle breaks down?

Call us first. We’ll try to walk you through your problem. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to do your best to get the vehicle off the road and call BCAA Road Side Assistance.

In the event the vehicle must be towed to the nearest shop for repairs you must allow us 24- 48 hrs to complete the necessary repairs. This period of time might be longer or shorter depending on the specific booking.

Camper Van Andrew will refund you for any days the vehicle is in repairs and not useable, along with providing you hotel accommodation (up to 2 nights at a rate of $150 CAD per night) and $50 Cab fare while vehicle is in repair. 

 

If the repair time is longer then 48hrs and the cause of breakdown is not your fault, Camper Van Andrew will refund your entire rental fee and depending on the impact to your vacation offer you additional credits towards a future booking.

 

If you abandon the vehicle for any reason during the prescribed 24-48 repair period you will be responsible for your own transportation and lodging costs for the duration of your trip. You will only be refunded for the days the vehicle was in repair. You are responsible for the safe return of the vehicle, failure to do so results in immediate forfeiture of your entire (100%) of damage deposit.
